National symbols of the Kazakh people ― yurt, torsyk and piala ― are depicted on the magnet.
The yurta is the mobile dwelling of the ancient nomads, it is a big wooden framework fitted by thick felt. The origin of a yurta is still kept in mystery. Allegedly, the yurta has appeared as result of modification of the huns' hemispherical tent in the middle of 1 millennium AD.
Throughout many centuries it served as the main figurative dwelling for the steppe nomads, it's clear due to the fact that the yurta is quickly established and fixed, it is easily transported on the camels and horses, its felt covering doesn't pass a rain stream. Its cool in a yurta in hot days, the winter is possibly survived, by covering its walls with the second layer of felt and heating it in the center.
Talented masters were engaged in manufacture of the parts of a wooden framework and felt covering of a yurta, but the attention was paid not only to external part of a yurta, but also to internally furniture. Women created various home decoration (felt and woven carpets, special storages, beautiful pillows, original chests, etc.) life of the nomads is inconceivable without it.
As well as in the most world cultures, in the culture of Kazakh people the reverent attitude has remained to the dwelling, which imprinted in the fairy tales and legends.
Now, the yurtas are used even more widely, than earlier. Besides the farmers, the yurtas are used by the climbers, tourists, organizers of the celebrations and picnics, restaurateurs.
On holidays, in public places of the cities and villages established yurtas, there people prepare traditional entertainments and the national dishes.
On the right side there is torsyk ― Kazakh receptacle made of leather. It was used as flask for storing beverages, especially koumiss.
Koumiss is the dairy drink on the basis of mare's milk which is perfectly satisfying thirst, stabilizing digestion and containing a set of vitamins with limited degree of the alcohol.
Due to the form, mainly existence of the two branches in the form of the horns, in Torsyk, in order remained ferment, there milk changed into koumiss. When koumiss finished, it was enough to pour fresh consignment of mare's milk in it and after a while milk turned into koumiss under the influence of the ferment, which remained in the horns.
As far as Torsyk was made of very thick leather, the drinks there had been cool for a long time and didn't spoil.
On the background of the yurt, on the left side you can see pialas ― (from Persian پیاله [piyale];.. Greek πύελος ― trough, tub) a small vessel, a cup without handles, hemispherical or a truncated-conical shape, used in many cultures for serving food or drinks or food storage. It is known from the second half of the 1st millennium BC. Early pialas were made of ordinary clay pottery.
The form of piala is associated with the nomadic way of life of ancient nomads. The rounded shape without handles allowed to place the dish particularly compact, one to another, which was important in nomadic conditions. Such utensils in homes brings the atmosphere of wandering and traveling. And also the feeling of something very ancient and natural. Kazakh tea party is hard to imagine without the drinking bowls, which has been used since ancient times.
